I am a freelance Final Cut Pro HD editor with 10 years experience of working in post-production. My most recent work includes cutting a multi-camera Iron Maiden concert, the 12-part music series Live From Abbey Road for Channel 4 and a Green Day performance special for T4.
I am also an Apple Certified Trainer in Final Cut Pro,and I am currently combining training work with my freelance editing work. I have taught young students at Guildford College and staff editors at post-production facilities.
Since going freelance in 2007 I’ve worked on a range of projects including The Verve Live at Coachella for DVD release, Isle of Wight Festival Specials for Channel 4 and Soundtrack to my Life for ITV1. I’ve worked on making ofs for the feature films Hunger and Cheri, corporate films for icould, EMI, Abbey Road Studios and Victim Support, and music videos for TKO and Grhymey.
Prior to going freelance in May 2007, I worked at Abbey Road Studios for 7 years. Starting as a DVD QC and working my way up to senior editor, I gained experience across a spectrum of music related work including epks, documentaries, archive features and live performances. Editing with such a diverse range of content means I’ve had to demonstrate an adaptability to different music styles.
With most of my previous projects I’ve also ended up onlining my own offline edits, using Photoshop and occasionally After Effects to create graphics and titles. After 7 years of working in digital video, I have also developed a strong understanding of VT machines, broadcast formats and compression.
Previous clients include: ITV, Channel 4, Sundance Channel, ESPN Classic, Fremantle, EMI, Apple Records, Palm Pictures, Virgin Records, Parlophone, Capitol Records, and Universal Music.
I love film and regularly contribute film reviews to the website battleroyalewithcheese.com.
